Withdrawal and refunds
A pledge is a purchase at a distance, so EU consumer law gives you 14 days to withdraw from the contract, without giving a reason.
How to withdraw
- Open My pledges.
- Choose Withdraw from contract on the pledge. The pledge also shows the date until which you can withdraw.
- Confirm the withdrawal.
What happens
| Your pledge was | What the withdrawal does |
|---|---|
| Pledged, not charged yet | The pledge is released. Your card is not charged. |
| Payment due | The pledge is released. Your card is not charged. |
| Charged, within 14 days | The full payment is refunded to your card, including fundmysaas's fee. |
| Charged, after 14 days | The withdrawal period is over. Ask the founder, who sold you the reward. |
While a campaign is live, you can always leave a pledge that has not been charged.
The 14 days
The 14 days start on the day the contract is formed. The checkout states that moment, and the end of your withdrawal period appears on the pledge. Nothing in a running subscription shortens it.
Refunds
A refund is made on the founder's Stripe account, because the founder is the seller. A withdrawal inside 14 days refunds the whole payment. The refund usually reaches your card within a few days, depending on your bank.
A founder can also refund you at any time from their Stripe Dashboard. The pledge then shows as Refunded.
Disputes
Because the founder is the seller, a refund or a chargeback is taken from the founder's balance, not from fundmysaas. Contact the founder first about a reward that is late or not delivered. To report a campaign, write to hello@fundmysaas.io.
